The South African gold miner will consolidate full ownership of the Tennant Creek joint venture in Australia through a court-approved scheme of arrangement Pan African Resources PLC (LSE:PAF, OTCQX:PAFRY, JSE:PAN), the London and Johannesburg-listed gold producer, has agreed to acquire Australian mining company Emmerson Resources in an all-share deal valuing Emmerson at approximately £163 million. Under the terms of the deal, Emmerson shareholders will receive 0.1493 new Pan African shares for each Emmerson share held, with consideration delivered in the form of CHESS Depositary Interests (CDIs), a structure used to allow foreign-listed shares to trade on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

Peel Hunt said Pan African Resources PLC (LSE:PAF, OTCQX:PAFRY, JSE:PAN) maiden interim dividend came in “a little better than expected”, even as higher costs at the Barberton complex weighed on first-half EBITDA. The broker reiterated its 'Buy' rating and 180p target after the gold producer reported US$487m of revenue for the period, broadly in line with Peel Hunt's model.

Pan African Resources PLC (LSE:PAF, OTCQX:PAFRY, JSE:PAN) delivered a record first-half profit of US$147.8 million as a sharp rise in output and a higher realised gold price pushed revenue up 157.3% to US$487.1 million for the six months to December 2025. Chief executive Cobus Loots told investors that Pan African's operational and financial performance, together with the boon of record gold prices, has positioned the miner "deliver outstanding results for the full year" - and, that it had allowed it to "degrease" the balance sheet and boost returns to shareholders.

Pan African Resources PLC has told investors it is expecting a steep rise in half-year earnings after a strong lift in both realised gold prices and production volumes. New guidance today points to interim earnings per share (EPS) of 7.18–7.43 US cents and HEPS of 7.28–7.40 US cents for the six months to 31 December 2025.

Pan African Resources PLC (AIM:PAF, OTCQX:PAFRY, JSE:PAN) said gold production for the half-year ended 31 December 2025 rose 51% to 128,296 ounces. The company said it remains on track to meet full-year guidance of 275,000 to 292,000 ounces.
